“ What a place!! Food is brilliant, service is spot on! Very reasonably priced. Top quality ingredients and all local. We always eat here when in the area. ”
“ We called in for lunch yesterday with our young granddaughter on our way back from Thetford. We have driven by many times over the years without stopping but due to the little one being hungry we called in for a bite to eat and what a good choice that was. The staff were lovely, from the lady that greeted us when we arrived, to the chap that took our order and other members of staff that chatted to our little granddaughter. We both had a sandwich and ordered chicken nuggets for the little one and the food was excellent. The sandwiches were huge and very good, exceeding our expectations by far. The quality and overall experience of our visit was fantastic and we will definitely be stopping by again when we pass that way. ”
“ Lovely find whilst out driving. We arrived just before 11am. Breakfast was only served until 11am, but they didn't quibble over the time. Best Sausage sandwich on granary bread. Definitely recommend. ”
“ My wife and I visited Browns Cafe on 27.02.25 en route to Suffolk for a holiday, travelling with my 92 year old father in law and our border terrier. We booked a table and requested 'not near a door' due to my father in law feeling the cold and were seated as far away from the door as possible and next to a radiator. My wife and I are both vegan and had pre ordered the vegan stew which was tasty, filling and perfect. Father in law had ham, egg and chips which was excellent and ample enough that the dog got the ham he couldn't manage. Good parking, nice clean light room but the best part of the visit was the service which was outstanding, not just from one person but the whole team, looks simple when it's done as well as this but a huge amount of work and effort goes into making it so good. Highly recommended ”
“ Tucked beside a busy roundabout where you'd expect little more than a convenience stop, *Brown’s* delivers a surprisingly refined experience. The ambience is exceptional — thoughtfully curated to give the place an upmarket, almost boutique feel that far exceeds its location. It's the kind of spot where you settle in expecting a quick bite and leave having had a memorable dining experience. The food? Fantastic. Every dish reflects a clear commitment to quality ingredients and beautifully plated presentation — more akin to a high-end restaurant than a roadside cafe. The Cuban toastie, in particular, is phenomenal: indulgent, flavourful, and genuinely worth the detour. Equally noteworthy are the ladies behind the counter. They’re warm, welcoming, and clearly take pride in their work — adding that touch of charm and authenticity that makes Brown’s feel not just classy, but genuinely uplifting. An unexpected delight in every sense — highly recommended. ”
“ Had a lovely late lunch there today. The burger was amazing. A real meat patty that was so flavoursome the place is very nice and has very polite and helpful staff. The local produce on sale was also a nice touch and when we brought it home it didn’t disappoint. I used to come here in lockdown with my work to order take away items for use at the nearby training site, which is why we visited today and my memory of the food being great didn’t disappoint! Lovely restaurant/cafe I’d definitely recommend. ”
“ Really liked this place, the menu was limited but it did state it was the lunch menu so possibly a different menu for breakfast etc.. Also a limited menu normally means good quality and our food was good quality. The gravel car park may put of motor cycles but there is some hard standing next door. The staff were very nice and it was very clean, I like that you can see into the kitchen too. It may not have been cheap but prices were reasonable I paid 12 for ham eggs and chips with fresh bread. So seating outside and plenty of room inside too. Would definitely go back. ”
“ Returning customers. Excellent services, they go above and beyond. Lynsey was friendly and got banter Food outstanding. See you again soon ”
